Hypnotherapists do not see clients with a medical or mental disease unless they get a written and signed referral from a licensed medical health professional. However, even with a referral, Hypnotherapists will not see certain mental patients especially those with a bipolar condition. Hypnotherapists’ normal clients are normal everyday people with normal everyday problems.

Conditions for Hypnosis

(1) Normal average intelligence.
(2) Must want to change for the better.
(3) Agrees to follow the instructions of the therapist.
(4) Must be in the natural state, that is, not drunk or overly medicated.
